DRUM MOTOR

A drum motor is a geared motor drive enclosed within a steel shell providing a single pulley for conveyor belts. The idea is to produce a compact, totally enclosed single component drive unit with high efficiency and lower frictional losses than a conventional geared motors.

The advantage of drum motor over geared motor is that, the drum motor is more efficient, space saving and having law maintenance because the motor, gear box and bearings are mounted within the drum shell.

Drum motor is very new concept which will reevaluate the concept of conveyor systems. This will make conveyors more efficient, portable and customized. And this is the need of today’s mass production manufacturing facility. Our dream is to make the conveyors system as much easy, that anyone can afford it and get better use of it for their production or warehouse unit. It will cover the complete material handling system.

The design of drum motor is so compact that it can be used as plug and play concept. The series of this kind of drum motors called ‘roller drives’ can be used for roller conveyors. By this we can precisely position the object at defined place. This can be widely used for the warehouse operation for easy material striving and retrieving systems. This can be used for the performance based internal logistic system.
